Silent Struggles: A Poem on Hypoglycemia and Mental Health

In whispers soft, a crisis hides unseen,

Where blood sugar ebbs and flows between

The highs and lows that silently assail,

Affecting minds with an unseen veil.

Hypoglycemia, the stealthy foe,

Mocks stability we think we know.

Anxiety, confusion, shadows creep,

Mimicking woes that haunt our sleep.

Beyond the realm of diabetic care,

It casts its net, a stealthy snare.

Anxiety and mood in disarray,

Yet often overlooked, day by day.

Imagine if nutrition held the key,

To mend the mind and set it free.

A world where food is healing art,

Nourishing both body and heart.

From nature’s embrace, a balm to find,

In open spaces, solace intertwined.

Yet barred from those who need it most,

A cruelty that leaves the spirit lost.

Let’s rewrite the script, embrace the call,

To heal with food, and nature’s thrall.

Educate, empower, and reclaim the right,

To nurture minds with healing light.

For in the battle of mind and soul,

Let’s make the broken spirit whole.

By addressing roots both seen and hid,

Let’s nurture hearts, and lives, and bid:

To lift the veil, break the silent chain,

And let hope and healing reign.
