 A Vision of The Changers

A vision I had long ago,

During a challenging phase,

A story vivid and aglow,

In my mind, a vibrant blaze.

While studying, a story clear,

Demanded I pause and write,

A tale of hope, the end of fear,

In darkness, a guiding light.

A girl runs to her great-grandma's tent,

For a birthday celebration, joyous and grand,

Children gather, their ears all bent,

To hear the story from her hand.

"Mother Earth was sick," she begins,

"People ravaged land and sky,

But children saw the world’s dark sins,

And chose to let the old ways die."

They called themselves 'The Changers,' dear,

Gardens grew, bikes filled the streets,

Communities united, shedding fear,

Creating harmony in heartbeat beats.

Back to the elders, wisdom sought,

Living in peace, with Earth aligned,

Quieter lives, healthier thought,

Happiness and needs entwined.

A tear slips down grandma’s face,

“Is there something you miss?” a child asks,

“Music,” she says, “its soulful grace.”

And the children sing, completing the task.
