False Creek Morning, Late October
🎨✨ False Creek Morning, Late October ✨🎨
by Zipolita
False Creek yawns in chilly dawn,
October’s breath, the night not gone.
Darkness clings like velvet tight,
Time change coming, stealing light.
☕🌬️ Coffee warms my sleepy bones,
Cold wind hums soft city tones.
🍓🥣 Porridge, berries, tiny cheer,
Dog’s quick pee, routine so dear.
Out the window: glimmers, beams,
Boarders glide like living dreams.
⭐🚣 Headlamps bobbing… floating stars,
Dancing light on rippling bars.
Early birds who greet the day,
Catch the magic night hides away.
🌅 City whispers, calm and deep,
While so many stay asleep.
Last warm sip, I gently pray
For safety far across the bay.
🇯🇲💙 Jamaica, hold strong in this hour,
Melissa’s fury tests your courage & power.
May homes be safe, may hearts be whole,
May calm return & heal your soul.
